A Non-governmental organization (NGO) Anti-Kidnapping, Human Trafficking, Child Abuse & Drug Abuse Initiative (AKH-TRACADA) has greeted Nigerians at the 62nd independence urging peaceful co-existence among citizens, saying the future looked bright for the country despite the present situation.
In an independence message released in Abuja Saturday by its Founder and National President, Primate Belonwu Ezeanyaeche who on behalf Board of Trustees (BoT) AKH-TRACADA urged Nigerians from all walks of life to live in peace and brotherhood which were the nexus of ensuring a better society.
He also congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari and his cabinet for their commitment and zeal in providing leadership that has impacted on the lives and unity of Nigeria.
The statement noted that in living in peaceful co-existence and unity, we must see one another as brothers and sisters regardless of our ethnic, religious or regional diversity.
Ezeanyaeche noted that in seeking national rebirth, there is need for all to join hands in retooling the economy, creating new ideas, providing for the needy, educating our peoples, caring for the less privileged and protecting our people.
Meanwhile, Ezeanyaeche called on government at levels to make concerted efforts to address the myriad of challenges confronting the nation especially insecurity and ensure that lethal weapons don’t enter the hands of non state actors.
He hailed Nigerians for holding steadfast to the belief in one Nigeria; saying that the country will make more progress being together and tasked that we must collectively make life better in the face of rising economic challenges confronting the nation.
Continuing, he also thanked the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba, for ordering the deployment of adequate personnel nationwide, ahead of the celebration.
This great move by the hardworking IGP would surely protect citizens, critical national infrastructure and ensure the success of all the activities lined up for the celebration.
While reiterating AKH-TRACADA’s total resolve to fight Kidnapping, Human Trafficking, Child Abuse & Drug Abuse for the good of society, Ezeanyaeche urged Nigerians to shun all these bad acts for a better and stable nation that all will be proud of.
