United Business Women Association inaugurates executives Saturday

The United Business Women Association, a Non-Governmental-Organization (NGO) has concluded plans to inaugurate its State and National executive in Abuja on Saturday, Founder/President of the Association, Hon. Mrs. Nkiruka Duru (Star Lady) has said.

Mrs. Duru who made this known in a virtual meeting with some selected journalists yesterday noted that the event will among other things witness the inauguration of 36 and FCT executive members and the national executive members as well.

Speaking further, Mrs. Duru stated the association has the main aim of empowering and uplifting market women in Nigeria and beyond and put them into nation’s economic hub by way of entrepreneurship through empowerment grants.

Duru who took journalists down memory lane, informed the association was founded in January 2020 by her humble self with the sole purpose of bringing market women under one umbrella to foster love and support for each other for their collective good.

Mrs. Duru who used the opportunity to invite all Nigerians to the event said the association was also to attract the benefits of governance to each and every market woman who identifies with its noble cause of love and kindness.

Apart from inaugurating their executives, Mrs. Duru noted that award of different categories will be conferred on deserving individuals who have distinguished themselves in uplifting the objectives of the association.

She stated the association has reached about 10, 000 of its members with different interventions and urged all market women to key into it to achieve their life aim.

She however, called on government at all levels and international organisations to form synergy with the association towards bettering the lot of Nigerians.
