Covid-19: China spreads power of solidarity to Nigeria, donates items

In an effort to contain the spread of the novel Coronavirus, the Chinese government has spread power of solidarity to Nigeria by donating preventive items.
The items which were handed over to Nigerian officials by the Ambassador of People’s Republic of China To Nigeria, Dr. Zhou Pingjian include: Infrared Thermometer, Hand Sanitizer (500ML), Hand Sanitizer (4 Liters Refil), Face Mask, Had Gloves, Anti-Bacterial Hand Wash, Antiseptic Wipes, Antiseptic Soap and Automatic Hand Dryer.
               
Receiving the materials on behalf of the Nigerian government Friday in Abuja, the Director, Policy Plan & Research Statistics, Mr. Lot Egopija alongside the Director, Training & Welfare, Mrs. I.R Ocheni of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs thanked the Chinese government for the support shown towards fighting the global pandemic.
Egopija who extended Nigerian government warm appreciation to China for the assistance offered in midst of the COVID-19 epidemic, noted that China has done what everybody should be thankful for by standing by Nigeria in this difficult time.
The Ambassador of China to Nigeria in his remarks stated that Major infectious disease is the enemy of all and that COVID-l9 outbreak is spreading worldwide, posing enormous threat to life and health and bringing formidable challenge to global public health security.
He said that China will try its best to provide medical supplies to Nigeria and do whatever it could to support it.
Zhou informed that China will continue to share information and experience with Nigeria and strengthen cooperation on containment, treatment and vaccines in response to the Covid-l9 challenge with a view to building together a community of shared health for mankind.
He promised that himself, Chinese diplomats and their family members, will stay here in Nigeria in this trying lime and work closely to defeat the Covid-l9.
It is important to know that China has so far shared epidemic prevention and treatment guidelines with more than 100 countries and regions, and over 10 international and regional organizations around the world.
