The Nsit-Ubium born politician said he was in the race to unite the people for progress and oneness saying that was the main thrust of the party.
He lamented that Akwa-Ibom has deviated from the plans of its founding fathers in the areas of unity of purpose and hence the need to get back to the old good days of prosperity and transformation.
The Civil Engineer turned politician stressed the need to avoid polarization of the people and think beyond politics to develop the state.
Coffie cautioned that the world was going beyond oil and Akwa-Ibom should wake up to this emerging reality by encouraging and supporting Small Scale Enterprise for maximum transformation and economic retooling.
