Ifraimu Dauda sworn in as AFAN FCT Chair

The All Farmers’ Association of Nigeria (AFAN), had inaugurated its Executive members in Abuja with Hon. Ifraimu Dauda as the Chairman.

In his speech after the inauguration at Abuja Arts and Culture Complex in Garki, Dauda promised to take the association to greater height with support from all members.

Dauda informed that AFAN was the umbrella body of the 56 recognized commodities and agricultural association in Nigeria with branches all over the 36 states of Nigeria.

It noted that AFAN aims at making agriculture the core foundation of Nigeria economy, saying that one of their major goals was to register farmers across Nigeria to grow potentials and active membership.

He stated that FCT chapter under his able leadership would continue in this light and recognizing Abuja farmers in other to make the life of a farmer easier and help in accessing necessary information’s that can boost and improve the life of every farmer in FCT.

Dauda assured that AFAN will always be available to guide farmer in the right directions, in any area a farmer might require more enlightenment, ranging from purchasing farming inputs such as fertilizers, seedlings, pesticides, tools and equipment’s that could improve the life of every farmer.

His words, “We also intend to help farmers in selling their produce both directly to customers and wholesale and food processors.

“Every farmer’s dream is to be able to receive guidelines and have access to facilities and opportunities that can create and encourage a farmers experience positively, therefore we intend to partner with more organizations as well as maintain a good relationship with our loyal partners over the years to enable AFAN give a farmer the stress free experience by creating diverse opportunities to encourage the local farmers and also educate other aspiring farmers to be a part of agriculture as a way of not just making a living but to reduce unemployment and boost the economy” he noted.
