Anti-Kidnapping, Human Trafficking, Child Abuse & Drugs Abuse Initiative (AKH-TRACADA) has asked all citizens to use the event of the Eid-el-Mawlid to reflect on the qualities of Prophet Muhammad by showing love and understanding for fellow citizens while exhibiting patience, honesty, sincerity, kindness and generosity in all their undertakings.
In a press statement released in Abuja Monday signed by AKH-TRACADA National Coordinator, Primate Belonwu Ezeanyaeche, it urged all Muslims commemorating the birthday of Prophet Mohammad (SAW) which is marked as a public holiday today to shun all negative tendencies and be through Nigerian.
Ezeanyaeche urged Muslims to imbibe the spirit of love, patience, and perseverance, which according to him, are virtues of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), stating that this would guarantee peace and security in the state and the country as a whole.
Continuing, he said the occasion again calls for deep reflection among the human race maintaining that the commemoration of the day serves as another reminder to everyone about how best to lead an impactful life for the good of humanity.
He however, called for sober reflection and self-evaluation by all with a view to knowing how well they have related with their Creator and fellow human beings during the last one year and make amends where necessary.
Again, he charged Nigerians to focus on activities that promote peace, unity and development and do away with those that fan ember of discord and disunity as the nation goes through a critical moment in its existence.
