NAPAAS signs N15bn agreement gets Mutallab endorsement

Personal Asset Acquisition Scheme (NAPAAS) has signed a whopping N15 billion loan agreement with a consortium of financiers to boost its economic empowerment programme for interested Ex-Servicemen and other organized pension groups.

The MOU which took place Friday during a Business Roundtable with investors and shareholders in Abuja in the presence of Chairman, Jaiz Charity and Development Foundation and Vice Chairman, NAPAAS Advisory Governing Board Council, Alh. (Dr) Umaru Abdul Mutallab had the representative of ex-servicemen, Jaiz Takaful Insurance, Prospers Finance, Chams plc and other stakeholders/investors present at the ceremony.

In his remarks, Mutallab who commended NAPAAS for its empowerment programmes endorsed its activities describing them as impacting on the beneficiaries.

Mutallab noted that NAPAAS is providing essential services to the ex-servicemen that have made the highest sacrifice for the nation.

He said the initiative will boost the morale of the serving military officers when they realize that they will be empowered after serving their fatherland maintaining that Nigerians own NAPAAS a lot of gratitude for bringing up this laudable initiative.

He expressed confidence that more funds will be made available by the investors if only the finance provided is well utilized.

His words, “With what is happening here today, I can see that NAPAAS is serious and should be commended by government and all. You have brought a backup for our ex-servicemen that have given all to the nation. This will certainly boost the morale of those still in service.

“I am honoured to be made the Vice-Chairman of NAPAAS Advisory Governing Board Council. I have friends and relatives that have retired from service and they will be happy if they know about this programme” he said.

Managing Director of NAPAAS, Mr. Muhammad Aminu Bello said the signing of the agreement will make them reach more people for empowerment.

Mr. Femi Williams of Charms PLC while thanking NAPAAS for doing great in providing soft landing for our ex-serviceman by empowering them noted that their partnership with them will widen the scope of their operations as people can now apply to access services on phone from anywhere.

Also speaking, Aliu Agbabiaka of Jaiz Takaful Insurance said they provide security to NAPAAS services since they concentrate in physical assets.

Eze Nnadi of NAPPAS informed that they will be extending there progamme of activities to southern Nigeria.
