The Anti-Kidnapping, Human Trafficking, Child Abuse & Drugs Abuse Initiative (AKH-TRACADA) has greeted Nigerians at Christmas and urged all to be security conscious.
In a message delivered on Friday, December 25, 2020, the organization’s National Coordinator, Primate Belonwu Ezeanyaeche urged Nigerians to do good this Christmas season by remembering the less fortunate.
This, Ezeanyaeche said, was in line with the spirit of Christmas to do good to all and to live every day in service of others.
Ezeanyaeche also tasked Nigerians to take the festive season to reflect on the blessings and favor of the outgoing year, while at the same time preparing for a better 2021.
In his message, Ezeanyaeche expounded on the meaning of Christmas, arguing that it was a time to render service to others emphasizing the need for Nigerians to have fun responsibly during this season while conforming to all Covid-19 protocols as enumerated by federal government and NCDC.
The leader of a foremost anti-kidnapping NGO called upon citizens to be extra vigilant and report strange movements and indeed, all suspicions around them to security and law enforcement agencies.
He thanked security agencies for their resilience and collaboration in ensuring that adequate measures are put in place for protection of lives and property during this yuletide and beyond.
However, he advised Nigerians to be peaceful and conduct themselves in a good manner in the overall interest of the nation’s development and growth.
He specially thanked the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Mohammed Adamu for his proactive security measure throughout the country by ordering 24/7 water-tight security arrangement and proactive high visibility patrols in all the States of the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), ahead of the Christmas and New Year Celebrations.
Ezeanyaeche, on behalf of the entire team of AKH-TRACADA nationwide, wishes Nigerians a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year in advance.
